Investment Ready Programme Alumnus, Cosysense, Secures £1.5 Million in a Combined Pre-Seed and Angel Investment Round

Cosysense, an energy startup developing tools that help commercial buildings run more efficiently, raises $1.5 million, led by Bethnal Green Ventures.

Investment follows after graduating from the Investment Ready Programme in November 2024.

Generative AI company, Synthesia, Opens London HQ Following Continued Growth

Synthesia, the UK-based AI text-to-video startup now valued at over $2 billion, has officially opened its new London headquarters. This marks a major milestone for one of the UK’s most valuable generative AI media companies, reinforcing its growing influence in the sector.

The launch took place in London’s Knowledge Quarter, with Mayor of London Sadiq Khan and Secretary for Technology Peter Kyl attending the opening ceremony. As a co-investor through the Greater London Investment Fund, we’re proud to support Synthesia on this exciting next chapter.

WealthKernel Acquisition by Alpaca to Strengthen Global Brokerage Infrastructure

WealthKernel, a leading UK fintech platform, has announced plans to be acquired by Alpaca, a US-based full-stack, global brokerage infrastructure provider (regulatory approval pending). Alpaca enables brokers, banks, and fintechs to launch trading, custody, and wealth products quickly, compliantly, and at scale.

This acquisition will combine WealthKernel’s UK and EU-licensed platform with Alpaca’s API-first trading and custody services, expanding their reach across North America, Europe, and Asia. Together, they will accelerate access to modern, accessible investment solutions for clients worldwide.
